GAP Engineering SA is a Swiss company based in Chalais. It was founded in 2000 by engineers specializing in aluminum, industrial automation and energy management. The company initially focused on automation activities. GAP Engineering SA has been a Siemens Solution Partner since 2001. Over the years, GAP Engineering SA has expanded its expertise in the fields of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, as well as industrial software, to such an extent that today it can offer its customers an extensive range of products and services. A specific example is the field of aluminum casting, where GAP Engineering SA is able to supply turnkey installations tailored to individual customer requirements.
GAP Engineering is a small SME with 16 employees, mainly industrial systems engineers. The company offers a wide range of skills acquired in the industrial world over more than 20 years, and represents a broad spectrum of training courses offered by the HES-SO Valais.

The birth of GAP Engineering with the modernization of the automation of the spinning line 4 of Alusuisse Aluminium Suisse SA in Sierre, currently the industrial site of Constellium.
Since 2010, we have added the mechanical field to the activities of GAP Engineering and it is from 2012 that we have supplied the first turnkey casting machines for our customers in Europe. The picture shows the first EMC machine fully implemented by the GAP team.
The acquisition of the mechanical hall in 2017 and its renovation in 2020 launches GAP's new strategy and positioning. This important step allows us to better serve our local and international customers.
